A small plate measuring approx 11cm across depicting a mini Scottish landscape of a heilan' coo on a moody autumnal day.

The finished effect has been created through a lot of trial and error with the design, and a lot of testing and retesting of the glazes I use. It's been a long process but I'm very happy with the final effect!

I made it on the potters wheel and stamped it with my own hand carved heilan' coo. Each coo is carefully hand painted and the plate is dipped into various glazes to give the landscape you see. I like to leave a flash of bare clay as this forms part of that landscape and gives the plate a very tactile feel.

Love this item, it looks even better "in the flesh" than it did in the photographs! Will make an excellent present for my friend (to remind her of a Scottish holiday we had together). I had some trouble getting hold of it, which was 100% NOT the seller's fault (Royal Mail/Post Office issue) but she was very helpful when I contacted her seeking extra information to try and sort out my problem. When it arrived, it was very nicely packaged and I appreciated the seller's commitment to reusing packaging materials. Thank you!
