I carefully crafted the shape of this Premium Calcium Dish so that your Leopard Gecko won't flip it over or move it around. Our lizards love their Calcium and these dishes help them enjoy it without wearing it!

How's it work? Simple:

Okay Stroodies, but now, why does that help?
Great question! Leopard geckos love their Calcium, which is great since it's vitally important to their health. Wild Leopard Geckos in their native homeland--the dry, rocky highlands at the cusp between mid- and far-east--would never encounter powdered calcium in the form we buy at the store. They seem to enjoy the taste of it much as we enjoy the taste of salt or sugar and were probably wired (by evolution) to sense out Calcium within their food.
Every LG does the same thing when she's given a dish of calcium: First, lick it to see what it is. Next, take a bigger lick to see if all of it actually tastes like awesomeness, and then proceed to gobble a mouthful!
And then, curiously, it's like their programming buggs out a little bit... Her hunting instincts take over once she gets a mouthful of calcium, and, not wanting the rest to escape(?), she strikes at the calcium dish as if it were a bug. If that dish is a soda bottle cap, then she picks it up by the rim and dumps it all over herself.
BUT if you use a Stroodies Calcium dish then your geckos will be unable to grasp the darn thing with their mouths. So, your darling gecko-buddy can go totally bananas and enjoy "hunting" her calcium to her heart's content!

I make these beauties with my customized 3D printer out of PETG plastic and PLA plastic in Rochester, NY.
PETG is the same type of plastic used to make water bottles. PLA plastic is comprised of tough fibers from plants like sugar cane or corn. Both of these materials will hold up for years in a Gecko environment.
