Want a cajon that really stands out from the crowd? This has to be the drum for you! Made from wood reclaimed from old pianos (except the tapa which is new birch ply).
This is a unique cajon as I haven't got any more wood from that piano and the Lichtenberg patterns are impossible to duplicate exactly. It has a fairly drum-like sound - more of a 'doon' that a 'duff'.
The basic snare is a simple piece of piano wire secured behind the face with scope to adjust the tension - up to the point it's not a snare, and rings out a note, if you really want!
