Ferrario Artist Walnut Oil Painting Medium 250ml (Made in Italy)

Seller's description

Ferrario Artist Walnut Oil Painting Medium 250ml
High-quality painting medium made from walnut kernel extract. It serves multiple functions for oil painters, offering unique benefits compared to other traditional oils, such as linseed oil. Here are some key characteristics:

Dilutes Colours: It can be used to thin oil paints, making the paint more fluid and easier to apply. This is helpful for various painting techniques, especially when a more transparent or thinner layer of paint is desired.

Increases Brilliance: This medium enhances the vibrancy of colors, giving your artwork a more luminous and brilliant appearance.

Similar to Linseed Oil: Like linseed oil, walnut oil helps to modify the consistency of paint and can be mixed with pigments to adjust the texture. However, walnut oil is often preferred over linseed oil for its more subtle handling.

Less Yellowing: One of the advantages of walnut oil over linseed oil is its tendency to yellow less over time, which helps preserve the original colors of the painting for a longer period.

Made from Walnut Kernel Extract: The oil is derived from the kernel of the walnut, making it a natural and high-quality product. It's especially favored by artists looking for a gentler, less aggressive medium compared to linseed oil.

This medium is made in Italy, known for its tradition in high-quality artist materials, making it a trusted choice for professional and amateur painters alike.
