Hand painted watercolor illustrations are a unique and beautiful, yet affordable addition to any home. These custom-made illustrations make thoughtful gifts for anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, graduations, new home or pet owners, and other special occasions.

BEFORE YOU ORDER
Before you order, please message me directly to briefly discuss your project. This will ensure that we are on the same page before you purchase an item.

IMPORTANT:
Please supply a high quality photo of the subjects you wish to include. All subjects must be in the same photo. The photo you send does not have to be professional quality. Photos taken with a smartphone work well. Good lighting and image clarity (i.e. not blurry or pixelated) are most important. Simply have your subjects stand (or sit) side by side and photograph at eye level. For women and girls, I recommend having hair down, pulled up to the side, or only half up, as having all hair pulled back is generally not flattering in this type of portrait. Individual details such as clothing or hair styles can be changed if you provide additional photos showing these details.

OTHER NOTES:
I offer three size options: 5" x 7", 8" x 10", and 11" x 14." Each painting is completely original and painted on high quality 140 lb. watercolor paper.

Pricing is based on size (see sizes above) and the number of "subjects". Each person, pet, and object (such as bouquets, furniture, cars, etc.) is considered a subject. Certain subjects, if small or not detailed, may not require an additional subject. Please message me for clarification if needed.

All portraits are painted on a white background (background painting not included), unless requested. Please include another subject on your purchase to include background details. Again, please message me for clarification or questions if needed.

Names, years, or descriptions can be written in black ink or pencil along the bottom at no additional cost Ex: Johnson Family, 2021.

You will be sent a photo of your completed order to review and approve before it is shipped.

Your painting will be wrapped in a protective art sleeve and packaged in a rigid mailer to ensure safe delivery.

I had a portrait made from a photo as a special Christmas gift, and it turned out SO lovely. My mom got teary when she opened it! The shop owner sent me a line pencil drawing first to approve, and also sent me an image of the painting once it was done to ask if it met my expectations before shipping. Kara is very talented, intuitive (ie she offered a couple of suggestions as to how to make the portrait of the couple 'better' - all of which I did, as I understood her view from an artistic standpoint!), and great to work with.
