Pattern for a stag beetle blanket. This pattern comes with written instructions.

You will need 4 skeins of black and 3 skeins of blue to complete this project.

102 stitches wide by 186 rows tall

This pattern can be made with the type of yarn of your choice. I crocheted the example with Red Heart's Soft yarn (which is a medium weight yarn) and used a crochet hook size J (6.00MM).
It is 102 stitches wide x 186 stitches tall.

Please note the size of the blanket in the 2nd picture. A small border can increase the size of the blanket if it is smaller than you'd like.

It is all single stitch crochet. In order to make this blanket you will need to know how to carry yarn. I highly recommend trying a small simple pattern to practice carrying yarn before attempting a larger project such as this one. Carrying yarn gets more difficult as you add more colors.

Most of the patterns are 150 stitches wide (which comes to 4 feet when crocheted with medium weight yarn and a J sized hook). The patterns should have the size they come to in the description but I would say at least 9/10 of them are this size so it's a good guideline.

Definitely check to make sure the pattern you're looking at it the size you want before purchasing. One of the reasons most of my patterns are 150 stitches wide is because I like that they can be sewn together into one blanket. I also think it's a good size for having room for detail without being so large that it takes forever to finish.

Yes! I make custom patterns for people all of the time. They usually cost between $15-45 each depending on how difficult they are to design and if I am able to resell them afterwards.

Most of the patterns end up being $15 since usually customers are okay with me reselling them after and the customer is often asking for something I think will sell well to others afterwards. The $15 patterns are usually 150 stitches wide as well. This is not a guarantee that the pattern you would like to have designed will be this price, it is just my experience thus far.
