Holiday Getaway Magnet from Reclaimed Wood
. Original design that I cut from reclaimed wood using a scroll saw
. Dimensions are roughly 4" x 3" and about 1/4" or less thick. Each weighs about .53 to .63 oz
. I hand paint each one with love which means there may be slight variations from the photo. And given the uniqueness of the wood there is great variability as well.
. I use acrylic paint, paint marker and metallic marker then I finish with 2 coats of satin finish overall and an additional coat of semi-gloss finish on the front of the magnet
. I then attach a high quality disc magnet (0.5" diameter x 0.0625" thick) to finish

These magnets are special as they are made from a farmhouse that is over 130 years old! It made working with the wood challenging but so very worth it with the uniqueness of each piece.

This magnet can be enjoyed on your refrig, in your travel trailer, office - whever you daydream of days of old. Also great for gift giving.

I also offer two collections (one vintage and one art deco) in both magnet and ornament form using poplar wood.
