This is a digital backdrop / background for use in composite portrait photography which can be downloaded straight after purchase. It is designed to be used in Photoshop, or similar photo editing software and is not suitable for printing as a life sized physical backdrop.

A grungy urban digital background, ideal for super hero or computer game cosplay composite portraits. Two copies of the backdrop are included. The first is the basic image, which you can add your own effects to and change the depth of field using the depth map, if you wish. The second copy has some background blur applied and some smoke added, as used in my examples and ready to add your portrait subject into. The photos with people in costume are examples to show how the backdrop can be used and are not included in the download.

What you get:
1. A high resolution JPG file (7000 x 3938 pixels) of the backdrop which is in 16x9 format. This is large enough to be cropped to other shapes if required.
2. A second copy of the backdrop with some added smoke and background blur.
3. A depth map image of the scene in a separate JPG file to control the depth of field in Photoshop.
4. Text file with instructions for using the depth map for those not familiar. See also the video link below.

How to use the Depth Map:
If you are not familiar with depth maps, this is a completely optional but highly effective and easy to use tool that helps you to add realistic depth effects and get different looks from the same backdrop. A text file explaining how to use them is included in your download files and you can also find a short video on You Tube using the link below. The video uses a different background set, but the techniques used are the same.

1. These files are for personal or professional use in creating composite digital photos with your own photos.
2. You may sell prints or flattened digital files after adding your own portrait photos into the background.
3. You may not use these backgrounds for an editing service to make composites with photos taken by others.
4. The original files must not be resold or given away in digital or print form.
5. The empty backdrops must not be posted on websites or social media.
6. Posting composite images you make with the backdrops on your website or social media is fine.
7. You may not modify these backgrounds to make new backgrounds to sell.
8. Due to the nature of digital products, returns / refunds are not possible once the files are downloaded.
