What do I do if item arrives damaged or Seller misrepresented the item?

If item arrives damage, please convo seller with what the damage is, and a picture or two of the broken item, the box it came in and the outside packaging. We will contact you within 24 hours with furhter instructions. Seller Misrepresented item: Contact seller immediately after delivery of package. Let us know how it was misrepresented. We will review and contact you within 24 hours with instructions. We do not refund for any of the following reasons: a) Buyers remorse b) Improper size or fit (unless we misrepresented the size) c) Shipping to you or return postage d) If covered by postal insurance e) Color in pictures not exact f) If we shipped on time, but package did not arrive on time (ie Christmas or Birthday gift)

We insure and track all packages. International packages are insure to the point that they leave the US Airport. If you want your international package insure and tracked to your door, please choose Express Mail. If you do not choose express mail for your international package, then we can only guarantee that it left the US soil, and will only insure it to that point. If your international package does not arrive within a reasonable time, please contact your Customs or Postal Service before contacting us. Thank you!

Will we lower the value on the package for the purpose of Reducing Customs or Import Charges

We will report the actual value of the the package. In the USA, it is illegal to falsify the value or content of any package. Shippers in the USA can be charged with fraud if values or actual content is falsified. Please do not ask us to risk our business by asking us to be dishonest about the value of the package or what it contains.

Sterling Silver FAQ's

Care of Sterling jewelry: Patina is what gives older silver pawn jewelry its character. That’s why in our shop, we rarel remove patina – we let the new owner decide if they want the item to show its age or to be shiny. Authentic patina increases the value of old Silver, Gold, Brass and Copper pieces. It is not verdigris. We often get asked about resizing cuffs. We suggest that you check with a local Silver Smith to resize or reshape your cuffs and rings.

Our Gemstones and Testing Gemstones

GEMSTONES: Gemstones may or may not be LAB Gemstone or a NATURAL Gemstone. Some Gemstones have been altered in a lab. Gemstones have been tested with the Presidium Gem Tester. We are not gemologists, nor do we have the refractor equipment to test for identifying stones. We do test all gemstones on the Gem Tester to verify that a stone is a gemstone. So we can guarantee a stone is a gemstone, but cannot guarantee which it is. We can easily verify some stones, but not all. If you have questions regarding the gemstones, please convo / email us. We are happy to take a picture of us testing the gemstone, and the results on the PGT.

60 Day Layaway Option: Three Payment Plans

Here is the layaway plan that I do: Here are the steps to lay-away: 1) Purchase the item, by clicking "other". 2) Send a Convo letting us know you want the layaway plan 3) We will send you a paypal invoice for 30% your purchase (including shipping costs). It is non refundable and must be paid upon receipt. Check payments acceptable. 4) 30 days later we will send another invoice for 30%; and then 60 days after the first payment was made we will send you another invoice for the balance. 5) We will ship the item as soon as the final payment is made. If last payment is by check, we will ship after check clears We have a 90 day play for those items over $500

When Will I Receive My Item?

Shipping: When you place your order, we ship either same day or the next day (unless you place the order on Friday or Saturday). You will receive a tracking number immediately after shipping. The arrival time, according to the postal service, depends on the method of shipping your choose (first class, priority mail, or express mail). When the item gets into your cart, you will be give shipping options (and the price will depend on the option you choose) and the time it takes will depend your choice. Once the item leaves our hands depends on your location (we are located on the West Coast) the responsibility of the arrival time is the Postal Service. We do our best to get the item into your hands as quickly as possible.

Will I Incur Restocking Fees if an Item is Returned?

If an agreement is made that an item can be returned, there will be a restocking fee of 20%, and no shipping fees will be reimbursed. We understand that there are some circumstances where exceptions need to be made. However, unless you contact us within 24 hours after receiving the item, and the item is returned to us within 5 days, we will not accept the return.

What is Vintage and Antique Gold Filled?

Victorian gold filled pieces are generally unmarked for gold content and hallmarking in the USA until after 1907. Sometimes a jeweler would mark the jewelry or the box that it came in, so many pieces are not hallmarked with their gold content. Antique & Vintage gold filled jewelry is normally 10k, 12k, or 14k in gold content. English equivalent jewelry is Rolled Gold and is usually 9ct (sometimes 15ct and 18ct). Vintage gold filled jewelry is made from solid gold and filled with other alloys such as brass, bronze and sterling silver. Think of it like a sandwich with solid gold on the outside and a metal filling or core. Vintage gold filled wears, looks, and lasts like solid gold because its outer surface is solid gold.

These lovely iridescent white creamy Mother of Pearl beads are strung on a monofilament thread with a secure lanyard style clasp. It's a lovely beaded necklace which could be worn at a wedding or simply to dress up your business casual attire. The beads are lovely!

ALL the items in my shop are vintage or antique and have been previously worn. Items will show wear commensurate with their age and any major flaws will be noted. Many enlarged close, detailed photos are taken for you to view.

Definition of Condition:
This guide is an attempt to demystify some of the words I use to rate the condition of the jewelry I'm listing. Most vintage jewelry is used and may exhibit signs of wear, which is normal due to the age of some pieces. I describe each piece individually and will point out any flaws I find. I also usually increase the contrast in my photos, so any flaws will be more pronounced. That said, here are some overarching descriptors and what they might mean inside an auction:

Mint / Perfect: Self explanatory - RARE
Near Mint / Perfect: Like new - no noted flaws
Excellent: Minor flaws which do not compromise the piece
Very Good: Minor flaws, easily repairable and wearable flaws. Most items fit in this category
Good: Noted minor flaws, most likely repairable, wearable with care or after repair
Fair: Noticeable noted flaws, some significant, possibly wearable or repairable
As Found: A piece that is damaged beyond repair, recycle parts, valuable for research or for further study.

IMPORTANT INFO: Although I do my best, photographing jewelry for size reference can be a little tricky, and often items look larger on screen. Colors can also vary depending on computers. So, please refer to the description of color and measurements for actual size. All items are described to the best of my knowledge. If you have any questions, please feel free to convo me. You, the buyer, are the final judge after viewing the photos and reading the description.

Most items have been cleaned, but there may be some additional cleaning that will need to be done to meet the standards of the buyer.

I do recommend that if you purchase earrings, to disinfect the hardware with several wipes of alcohol (be careful to avoid the stones). NOTE: Clip on Earrings may need to be tightened or loosened, according to the size of ear lobes. You can obtain an "earring key" online at jewelry supply shops, or take it to your local jewelry store.
