This large and versatile honeycomb structure is an example of the custom modular designs we specialize in producing. Inspired by the beauty and order of the patterns prevalent in the natural world, these pieces can be used in a myriad of ways.

M A T E R I A L + F I N I S H

The 31-piece honeycomb installation in these images was built of solid poplar hardwood in shades of blue stain and a 100% nontoxic clear finish. If you are interested in other wood types, please inquire and we can offer suggestions and pricing.

S I Z E + O P T I O N S

Each hexagon in the first five columns of this unit measures 17.5" wide x 15.15" tall x 11.5" deep, with the last column of this custom design extending to 19.5" in depth, and the whole unit is built of 7/8" thick lumber. The 17.5" width features approximately 8.25" wide interior shelf ledges.

The overall dimensions of the entire assembled unit are 83.2" wide x 98.5" high (at top of single hexagon peak) x 11.5" deep (with last column at 19.5" deep). You may alter the design by adjusting the height/width, or depth.

Solid poplar wooden brackets are custom-made and included to securely anchor the unit into wall studs.

For the most sensible shipping option for units this large, we usually arrange shipment in fully assembled sections by a furniture mover, with the protective blanket wrapping they provide. Due to the savings in not using our own packaging materials and heavy duty boxes, we are often able to find shipping rates from furniture moving services that are comparable to or even at a lower cost than shipping the unit disassembled in boxes.

We pre-assemble the entire unit here in our shop for the best custom fit, pre-drilling holes discretely from the undersides of all surfaces to be joined together, and we provide all screws for joining the unit's sections.
