Do you do reserves and layaways?

Yes, I do layaways on my jewelry in the "Jewelry Couture" section only.

How do layaways work?

I require a non-refundable downpayment to reserve the piece and a minimum, agreed upon payment, once per month until your piece is paid in full. You're welcome to pay your layaway off early at any time.

When does my item ship?

I ship all my open orders on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If you need shipping on another day, convo me.

Do you take wholesale orders?

Yes, on most items. Please contact me for pricing.

May I use pictures and text from this shop?

No. Not without my permission first.

May I recast or duplicate the items in this shop and sell them?

No. Not unless you want to break the law.

What is raw brass, why the different colors?

Raw brass stampings are bare metal, made of copper & zinc. Since copper is reddish & zinc is silver toned, raw brass is a beautiful gold. As it ages, it develops a natural patina, also called oxidation. Brass does not rust. The oxidation ranges in color from dark copper to dark brown and some green. As it ages, brass can develop dark spots and/or uneven color. In general my vintage stampings will vary in color and may have uneven tones or spots. The stamping you receive will look similar in color to the pictures I've posted but also may vary if I get new stock. If you buy more than one piece of the same design, they may not match. What is a brass stamping?

Stampings are literally stamped out of brass sheet between two dies with a large pneumatic hammer. Different gages of brass sheet are used and if a thicker sheet is used on a thinner design, the stamping will have a flat back and will be known as a die casting. Most of my stampings are French, some are made in USA. Like me, you may find the French stampings have more detail than the American. That's because the French pieces are made from very old dies, many over 100 years old and the original artwork used to make the dies was labored over for countless hours.
