This listing: One limited edition print of “Skellig Islands” hand titled, numbered, and signed. The print is on an 8.5" x 11" sheet, with the printed area of the image measuring approximately 6" x 8".

The first image in this listing is of “Skellig Islands,” the second image shows the layout of the printed area on the sheet of paper, and the last image shows two sample prints from this series alongside the original Ireland journal of watercolors.

The Skellig Islands (Skellig Michael and Little Skellig) are two islands off the Western coast of Ireland, in the Atlantic Ocean. This view was painted from the Dingle Peninsula. Skellig Michael was home to a sixth-century Christian monastery. Today, both are important bird habitats. Skellig Michael was also the filming location of the finale scene in the recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

In September 2017, I had the chance to travel to Ireland for the first time. I documented my experience in a series of small plein air watercolor paintings, each painted directly from life on location.

I am releasing a selection of these paintings as a special limited edition print series.

Each print is available in an edition of 20- hand titled, signed, and numbered. That means only 20 of each print will be available.

I've designed these prints to capture the feeling of the original paintings as closely as possible. They are printed on a professional inkjet printer, using pigment-based inks, on acid free cold press watercolor paper, for an archival quality print. The texture of the paper used for the prints is similar to the watercolor paper used for the original paintings, and the paintings have been reproduced at the same size as the originals.

As usual, these and all of my prints are packed for shipping carefully, either flat within a plastic sleeve and rigid backer, or loosely rolled within an extra large sturdy tube, depending on size and number ordered.
