Wowza, what a statement. Hang this above your fireplace on new or remodel construction and you will hardly notice anything else. Our Mantels are hand hewn and have lots of character but are still elegant. They look just as good in a new trendy home as they do in a rustic lodge.
Kiln dried - all of our beams are kiln dried in a state of the art vacuum kiln; in addition we keep the temps high enough to kill off any bugs. No matter who you purchase from, please, make sure that your wood is kiln dried!
Please note that real beams have “checking” (the long horizontal cracks) that occur in the drying process. Most beams will some checking but we do our best to pick the best face of the beam and the worst checking we put to the back side.

8" tall x 8" deep (approximate) - finishes closer to 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" after planing and distressing

Installation...
We router out a pocket on the back side of the mantel to make installation a breeze. Most mantels of this style leave you to figure out install with brackets or corbels but with ours you don't need to provide anything. We supply a 2x4 that is cut to size for the pocket in the back and screws to attach it to wood studs (if you are screwing it to a masonry wall, you will need to provide them) We also provide easy instructions, however, it is yours or the contractors responsibility to make sure that it goes on securely, we just provide an easy way to make it happen.

Our mantle is beautiful and so well made. Just what we wanted! Super impressed with how it was shipped-so careful and detailed. The seller was great to work with-communicated often and made sure our measurements were correct. We stoned the wall around the fireplace and the mantle is the perfect addition!! Highly recommend!
