I drew up the design onto weaver's cloth, and then I created the tree using a punchneedle, which is akin to an ancient rug hooking technique on a smaller scale.

This design takes me about 2 1/2 hours of hand punching to complete. It is then presented in a weathered black 4" x 6" frame that can be either hung on the wall or stand freely (see 4th picture for reference).

Because the needle is adjustable, I can vary the length of the loops and make some longer for depth. So the snow stands higher than the tree in some spots. I also use one strand of iridescent floss with the hand dyed snowy floss, for just a touch of sparkle.

Some elements may vary slightly depending upon availability of products needed to create the art. Each one is hand drawn (no pattern) so please allow for subtle differences. I endeavor to stick as closely to original as possible but sometimes thread shades will vary slightly - as most are hand dyed. The weaver's cloth is also hand dyed and though the same brand and color dye will be used as the original to dye the weaver's cloth, shades may vary slightly from the original pictured depending on your computer screen and dye lot.
