Unique geometric earrings in oxidized brass and sterling silver, modern and lightweight.
The simple shapes were hand-cut from metal which has been carefully textured for an organic, earthy feel, then filed and sanded with two different types of sand-paper for a subtle finish. The tapered ends were then joined with the sterling silver ear wires. Finally, the earrings were oxidized, the brass to a deep, varied gold, the silver to black. This is a mixed metal combination which I love and often use due to the beautiful contrast between the two colours.
The minimalist design is inspired by my own thinking about shapes and ancient Phoenician earrings. I love to use ancient jewelry as a starting point in a design and create my own unique contemporary versions.

The brass shapes are hand cut from carefully textured and hammered 0.9 mm thick brass sheet. The ear wires are solid sterling silver.
