A very special Loop-Bow Design Pendant that dangles on a 24" Figaro chain. The style of chain has a twist and then smaller twist between creating the design. The marcasite pendant design features a top bow that hold a bottom drop, allowing it to swing. This pendant was made either in Germany, Austria or Sweden. A very elegant and unusual piece. The chain size and style can be altered to your desired length and style.

MARCASITE, A bit of History:
The Prince Albert died in 1861 Queen Victorian entered a period of mourning, requiring here entire court to wear black and avoid opulent jewellery. Marcasite became popular as a understated alternative for the nobility. Its history reigns back as far as the Greeks but had its height in the 1930's-1940's.
