A luxury black cardboard box with a hand drawn leaf blank gift note. The box will be wrapped in dark tissue paper and tied with raffia.
A new pair of tiny black huggie hoop earrings in sterling silver, this time with a filed, light-reflecting little dot.
Made by hand from the beautiful precious metal- melted, filed, sanded, shaped, hammered, oxidized and finally tumbled for durability and strength (this in a rotary tumbler).
These are small and meant for standard/slim earlobes, with an inside diameter of a bit over 6mm.
While this is a perfect fit for slim/ standard earlobes, if you need these for thicker earlobes or else want to wear the earrings in your cartilage, please choose a bigger version from the menu. 8mm and 10 mm are available and there is no difference in the price.
If you are unsure which ones will fit your ear, just measure the distance from the ear hole to the edge of the ear- it should equal or be smaller than the diameter.

Undergrowth studio is a small, one-woman owned and ran art-jewellery practice. It is based in a small town on the wild coast of Ireland. I handcraft collectible, understated pieces of jewellery full of edgy elegance. They are perfect for wild souls and nature lovers, for those who are drawn to the quiet, the weathered and the beautifully imperfect, the wild, assymetrical and irregular grace of the natural world. For those who love art and are looking for a piece of unique authentic contemporary craft to gift or treasure.
Imbued with the landscape, each piece is a world of its own. Every ring or earring is a small talisman of place, a wearable connection to the rocky shoreline where I love to walk, the corroded cliffs, the intimacy of tide pools, the sun, rain and wind.
My work carries the story of objects sculpted slowly by the elements. Driftwood, beach combed bones, stones whose fragile, weather scarred beauty speaks of impermanence and of our deep connection to the natural world.
Every earring, ring, pendant or bracelet is designed and individually handcrafted. In design, I value simplicity and honesty; in craftsmanship, care and a deep respect for the material. I focus on tactile details so each piece becomes a personal link between the body and the landscape, inviting you to carry a small talisman wherever you go. No two pieces are ever the same.
Unlike generic, mass-produced jewelry, my work is rooted in craft, attention to detail and a respect for the materials’ natural flaws and textures. I aim to create pieces which feel meaningful and grounding, are contemporary and intimate while expressing the primal aspects of our nature and the power of time and tide.
I use recycled silver and upcycle all my studio scraps. I only use eco friendly chemicals in my silver smithing work.

Fortunately, this turned out to be a problem due to the postal strike in Canada at the time. Even more fortunately, it has since been resolved:)
This is my second order of these huggies, the first ones being the middle size and this order being the 10mm (I believe - the larger size). I love them and I see myself wearing them often. I also bought the studs so they all go together so well.
This shop is amazing. My comeback to shop.
