This is a 5x7" thick postcard print of my original painting, "The Western Flyer: Unearthed".

I currently live in Port Townsend, Washington and when I heard about the Western Flyer restoration project I was enthralled. Not only was I a fan of the writings of John Steinbeck, but also a close friend of the Shipwrights Co-Op and was excited to have this romantic and important project underway in my small town. I knew early on that I had to capture this resurrection artistically. So, I created the first painting, The Western Flyer: Unearthed. The Western Flyer is unique in that it brings so many different types of people together- literary fanatics, craftsmen and women, artists, travelers, fishermen, historians, etc. It is a slice of Americana, blending the past with the future.
