Scrunchies are cute but they hold hair up better than traditional elastics because they are so thick, and create less kinks and tugging of the hair folicles. They are gentler on the scalp than traditional hair elastics, which is important for hair health. I designed this jumbo size scrunchie for my long, thick, heavy hair. I air-dry my hair to prevent unnecessary damage, so after I wash it, I use one of these to hold my hair up and to help it dry a bit faster at the same time. It keeps my heavy hair out of the way while I do things around the house or do my makeup and get dressed. I use a heavy-duty elastic inside of the soft terry cloth fabric.
