How the detox domes work- plug the dome lamp in (you will NOT want to unplug once you see how beautiful it is when lit!) and wait a few minutes for the salt to warm from the heat of the bulb. THIS MAY TAKE AWHILE DEPENDING UPON THE SEASON, CLIMATE AND HOW THE LAMP WAS STORED UNTIL ITS ARRIVAL. Place your CLEANSED FEET on the dome and sit back and relax! Grab a book, close your eyes, put on some music, however you like to relax! As your feet begin to perspire, the dome will begin to absorb the moisture due to its hygroscopic nature*. As it absorbs the moisture, it will pull toxins with it. A reverse osmosis process will enable a transfer of minerals and trace elements from the dome to your body at the same time. Do not expect the heat of a heating pad! Warmth is realistic, hot is not.

These domes are absolutely gigantic weighing in at 24-32 lbs each ON AVERAGE and measuring 11" in diameter and over 8" high with the base. Many end up weighing over 30 lbs! The base is substantial and carved from SOLID exotic core Bahia Rosewood for its fantastic water resistant properties to combat the salt's hygroscopic* nature. It sits flat on your floor or other surface for the utmost in stability. It has 3 cord coves to ensure the best positioning. PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Characteristics of Himalayan Salt are vast and can include deep sediment, highly varied veining, actual clear salt crystals embedded within, fissures, (areas where the salt of one type of crystal formation meets another and either gives the appearance of a crack or one actually formed due to intense pressure over the eons) and a wide variety of colors and tones. Please review all pictures as examples, but each one has its own character. The last 2 pictures show a change in crystal formation displayed to demonstrate how this attribute looks lit and unlit. The mine is a dehydrated seabed that has been compressed and condensed by intense heat and pressure. The resulting salt can appear as condensed visible crystals, or a perfectly smooth look and everything imaginable in between. Color spectrum includes clear, white, cream, palest pink, orange, russet and even almost meat red. Occasionally we will see brown sediment, but not commonly. The more depth of color is an indication of the amount of mineral sediment (called inclusions) and less light that will emanate. Please purchase these detox domes primarily for their soothing and cleansing abilities and secondarily for the glow of a lamp. Do not ever expect a flawless lamp with Himalayan Salt, it is simply not realistic. Any and all of these attributes are NORMAL and should be expected! In order to find boulders massive enough to hone, it is only logical that the larger pieces can have more of these features HOWEVER, we have actually seen boulders almost completely void of any inclusions at all.

Easy bulb replacement. To clean, wipe with a clean, damp cloth and follow with a clean, dry cloth. Himalayan Salt, as all salts; is anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal in nature, so detergents and anti-bacterial soaps are not required. Full instructions and tips included. Any scratches that occur in the wood base in the future can be easily wiped away with Old English Scratch Cover in DARK. This is a live salt, it WILL continue to grow crystals. Each piece is unique however, and some show little to no signs of crystal growth while others get quite "furry"! Crystal growth appears as tiny white cotton looking spots. Instructions for care are included.
