Highlights
This is a very beautiful antique Chinese silver needle case - over 100 years old, from Qing Dynasty, A.D.1644-1912. This antique needle case is a valuable and collectable item. As it is so beautiful, I decided to turn it into a pendant-necklace.
There is an interior tube that pulls out for needles storage like a drawer. In the olden days of China, women liked to keep the sewing needles in the needle case and hang it on the belt or wore it on the dress, therefore needles were available whenever they needed them for sewing.
Some people will use it for storing toothpicks nowadays.
The antique needle case in this necklace is in excellent condition.
- made with antique silver needle case (over 100 years old, from Qing Dynasty, A.D.1644-1912) and black cord necklace
- approximately 73 mm / 2.9 inches length, 12 mm / 0.47 inches width of the silver needle case
- black cord necklace drop length - approximately 320 mm / 12.6 inches from one end to the other end
