Vintage Vogue Ginny Doll Scandinavia - 1977

This is a Vogue Ginny Doll from 1977. She was part of the Far Away Lands Collection. She is wearing her original dress, hat, shawl, petticoat, tights and shoes. She is 8" tall with painted facial features, painted eyes and her blond hair is in pigtails. She has a jointed head, arms and legs. The doll is marked on the back of her neck with Vogue Dolls, Ginny 1977. She is marked on her back with Vogue Dolls 1972, made in Hong Kong and the number 3. I originally thought she was from Switzerland but I have been informed she is from Scandinavia.

Her body, head and hair are in good condition. She has a couple of blue dots on her forehead under her bangs. I'm not sure what these are or where they came from. I have had her for many years and she was a display doll only. I washed her body and her hair and could not remove these spots. They are unnoticeable under her bangs. I re-did her braids and used new green bands that match her dress. The old rubber bands had disintegrated.

This doll will make a great addition to someone who is collecting the Far Away Lands dolls from Vogue or just to have a doll with a traditional dress from Scandinavia. She is a collectible doll, over 40 years old, and is not recommended for children to play with.
