Cleaning: Clean your Cheese Cutting Board (CCB) after every use. Wash using a cloth, paper or a soft sponge with a bit of soap, but not the cloth or sponge you are using for generally cleaning dishes in the kitchen. This to avoid bacteria entering the CCB. Rinse with hot water and wipe clean. Leave it in upright position to allow it to dry properly.
Disinfecting:
After rinsing wipe the CCB down with undiluted vinegar (don’t water the vinegar down with water.)
Seasoning:
Food Graded Mineral Oil is recommended for seasoning wooden cutting board. When the CCB stops absorbing the oil wipe it down with a dry cloth or paper towel. For the best result season the CCB every three to four weeks. Do not use vegetable based oil or organic oil as they will turn rancid and causing your CCB to stink.
Never soak your CCB in water and never put it into the dish washer.
