Coffee Cards 1796 Fortune Telling Oracle. Brand New. Self Published. An old oracle deck with 32 cream & black coloured cards restored & reprinted with new borders & print. Originally in use in Europe & printed in about 1794-1796 & reworked for clearer images & card names & numbers, but still including the natural & antique variations in colour & shading from the original; the images could have derived from the symbols taught in tea leaf readings or coffee ground readings in the 18th century. Also similar to a 36 card Lenormand deck but with less images & some different cards. Each card comes with a verse offering moral advice to the reader. The card backs are a soft & pretty pinky-beige floral design. The deck is supplied in a plain white tuck box, each card measures 9cm x 6.5cm which is ordinary poker playing card size; the card corners are gently rounded in the printing & cutting process. A comprehensive multi-page card meaning document will be emailed to the buyer after payment.

Some cards we know from the Lenormand card reading system are not represented in this deck (no Ship, Fox, Stork, Tower, Key, or Book); other cards are included that do not appear in Lenormand (Pests, Green Bush & Lion but perhaps Lion was changed to the Bear in Lenormand). Do plase enote that the card numbering is different from Lenormand & there are no playing card associations. But apart from that this. deck works in the same way to give clear readings. Spreads can follow the Lenormand, Sibilla or Tarot style.
