Like driving a car in reverse along a circular road, this earring has to penetrate from BEHIND the ear lobe! It took me more than 5 minutes to wear 1 earring, whilst standing in front of a mirror. The post is not a smooth rod. It has a jagged tip which is the locking mechanism (circled in my picture). If you insert the earring incorrectly and then snap it to lock, you run the risk of painfully catching a tiny piece of your own flesh in the lock. Ouch. My mother noticed that my earlobe was bright red from all the attempts to penetrate from the back. This is not “a unique design”. This is a huge design mistake! The metal is quite thin and flexible, making a smooth penetration even more difficult.

Thin and flexible is gentle for skin and easy to put through ear pierce. The ear wire is not sharp and lock the hoop at the front, it will not catch the skin because you have the wire at the front before locking into the front. Same as wearing the hoop from the front.

Beautiful earrings with gold clasp. Exactly as they are described but even better looking in person. Pearls are a generous size but not too big. These are also lightweight, which is perfect for people who can't wear heavy earrings.
