This stunning vintage woven throw blanket or wall-hanging tapestry is rich in Celtic tradition. It is centered around a Celtic cross depicted using traditional Celtic knots. Green shamrocks fill the background, while fanciful horses with swirling golden manes are woven into each of the four corners. Designed by American artist Pat Cockrell, who wove her name into the textile as shown in the photos. Her motifs are crisply detailed and done very beautifully in rich, deep shades of yellow, rusty red, green and purple.

The throw is 47 inches wide x 65 inches long PLUS 2 inches of fringe on all 4 edges. The edges on two sides have multicolored fringe and the other two have black and yellow.

The soft, light- to midweight textile feels like cotton, perhaps blended with another fiber. The vintage item is in virtually Mint condition with no snags, holes or warping. It has vivid colors and crisp detail. The reverse side has reverse coloration, shown in the photos.

This rare throw is ideal for lovers of all things Celtic!
