A hammered gold ring which would be great as a unique wedding band. I start by making the band from 14 carat gold and then hammer it by hand to create irregular indents and a rustic texture. I use a flat shape hammer that strikes the metal at slightly different angles and gives a really unique asymmetrical shape. The subtle ridged surface texture is also transferred onto the metal which reminds me of naturally weathered stone. The photos shown here are 3mm and 4mm widths. They are around 1.8mm thickness with comfortable rounded edges on the inside.
