The Double Bass Man and my inspiration:

I have always liked that mysterious New Orleans Jazz atmosphere, that can be seen in films and on TV.

Infusing that with the jazz art posters I used to collect, taking their Art Deco style pictures of great 1920's Musicians and putting them with that street Mardi Gras feel, I hoped would create a really unique set of characters.

This Double Bass Man sums up for me all the cool things Jazz in the 1920's.

This Bass Player is a part of my Jazz music posters series, based on the Jazz artwork I've always liked. Legendary Jazz musicians like Charlie Mingus, Paul Chambers and Ron Carter all had and have such a striking physical pose when they played I thought I would to try and capture it here.

There will be many other Jazz musicians to follow in my Jazz art prints collection, and overall I intend to give a new flavour to the 1920's Art Deco Jazz poster.

There will only ever be 50 of each made.
Black and white print on 220gsm card. They are then each individually stained to give them their vintage look and to make each picture an entirely unique and personalised poster creation online.

The dimensions are English A4 size (21cm x 29.7cm or 11.7" x 8.3").
This is only available as an unframed item but the dimensions of the frame I used in the photo are (size of aperture of mount board 20cm x 29cm (7 3/4" x 11 1/2"))
The frame that was used is called Virserum from IKEA.

It will be rolled and packaged in a postage tube, for both UK and international shipping.
