THIS IS THE LOOM THAT DEBBIE SHELMIDINE USED FOR HER "AUTUMN LEAVES RUNNER" IN LITTLE LOOMS FALL 2023
Our patented hexagon pin looms use a unique design and combine two weaving methods to make the weaving of plain weave or tabby hexagons possible. Add beads, or patterns like twill, and the possibilities are endless.
The Elongon™ 2" enables you to weave elongated hexagons for even more design variety.
This listing is for the second generation "Gen 2" loom, with headless pins and yds/wraps information on the back.
The Elongon™ 2" measures 2" side length, and it takes about 4 1/2 yards of worsted weight yarn to weave one hexagon.
Project ideas to get you started:
- Make table toppers, dish cloths, home decoration, clothing, appliques, or any size of blankets.
- Combine the Elongon™ 2" hexagons with other pin loom shapes that have a side length of 2".
- Use single colors for geometric effect, multiple colors for expressive variety.
- Search online for quilt designs that use elongated hexagons for even more ideas.
The loom is made of quality birch plywood, finished beautifully with two coats of traditional clear Shellac, sealed with satin Poly. The hexagon weaving area measures about 2 3/4" in width and 5" in length, and each of the six sides measures 2”.
Please choose a weaving tool(s) option:
- “Locker Hook”. You will receive one 6.5" locker hook (size 4mm, color may vary), this is the default weaving tool for this kit.
- “Hook & Needle”. You will receive one crochet hook (size 4mm, color may vary) and one 7" weaving needle with a blunt tip.
The loom kit contains:
1 original Elongon™ 2" loom
1 weaving tool of your choice
1 packing comb (1 comb per order)
1 project storage bag
1 instructions booklet (1 booklet per order).
