What are wax melts & how should I use them?

Wax Melts are highly scented chunks of wax, which when placed upon your warmer release amazing fragrances into your home. Simply place a melt/chunk of melt into the well of your burner, place a tealight underneath & allow to melt. Once the wax has begun to melt it releases the fragrance into your home. The scent throw is fantastic & within minutes it fills the room. Unlike a candle, the wax will not melt away, it is the fragrance that wears off. Once you stop smelling the scent or it weakens, you either add another melt to boost it or wait for the wax to set, pop it out & replace with fresh melts. For best results use a tealight warmer.

Which wax are your melts made from?

Here at Berry Cocoa we have tried many waxes, our favourite is a soy wax specifically formulated for use in creating wax melts. It is a pillar blend which makes it easier to remove from our moulds & your burners. Soy wax is a lovely natural wax made from the oil of soy beans. It is cleaner burning, meaning less/no toxins, carcinogens or pollutants than other waxes, which means it's less likely to trigger allergies. Soy wax is longer lasting than other waxes as it burns at a cooler temperature meaning your fragrance lasts longer too!

Given the handmade nature of our products, shades of colours & glitters may vary to those pictured but will always be as similar as possible. We are always looking to update our products & so we may try different designs than those pictured e.g. instead of glitter, we may try a double/triple pour (different coloured waxes) to achieve a unique look. If we decide to keep this new design, we will update pictures as & when possible.

Frosting is a natural occurrence when using soy wax, we can normally counteract it with pouring temps but sometimes it just happens no matter what we do! 😠 It does not affect the scent or strength of the melts, it just makes them look a bit unattractive by giving them a frosty white coating in patches. It is to be expected with handmade soy wax products unfortunately. So if you receive any melts with frosting please don't judge them by their coating, they're still lovely & are just needing a home! 😁

Gift wrapping and packaging

All care is taken to ensure your melts arrive in perfect condition but on occasion snap bars may arrive already snapped in some places, this is no fault of our own but it can rarely happen in transit unfortunately. If your order is marked as a gift we can offer refunds/replacements. However, if your order isn't marked as a gift, no refund/replacement will be offered, as you will only snap them to use them anyway. On these occasions we can only offer our sincere apologies.
