Growing up in Scotland I remember the milkman delivering milk in glass bottles right to your doorstep. If you didn't take the bottles in promptly, some zealous blackbird would stop by and peck a hole in the foil cap to steal the delicious cream that had risen to the top of the bottle.
One day I was listening to an old classic song by the Fab Four from Liverpool. The Blackbird song. The line "You were only waiting for this moment to arise" painted in my head a stealthy blackbird (who has graduated from milk bottles to martini glasses) waiting for "this moment" to steal the olive from a neglected martini!

Not at all how Paul was inspired to write the song - but hopefully my rendition engages you - and you don't need to be a Beatles fan to love this intriguing art block.
