What bulb should I use?

The drum lampshades have a flame retardant PVC and for all lampshades I recommend using energy saving bulbs. The firm Drum shades include a converter plug to adapt to UK/European fittings. The hand stitched shades are usually for UK fittings only and will be treated with a flame retardant spray but I would also suggest only using energy savings bulbs with these. Details of the bulb size will be included when posted. Please note, due to the size of the pattern on certain fabrics, your lampshade may not show the exact image illustrated.Every care is taken to produce a shade that will be very similar and will have a good pattern on it. Colours are reproduced as accurately as possible however there may be some variation.

Can the shade be used on the ceiling?

Yes, all of the lampshades can be used either on a lamp or on the ceiling.

What fitting should I order?

If you are unsure then please get in touch. I am always very happy to advise. In the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand you will order the UK fitting. They will work with either smaller UK fittings or with larger European or E27 fittings. Generally in the US you will need to order a Harp Fitting. This will be if your lamp uses a finial.

Do you offer other shape lampshades?

Yea I can offer many different sizes and shapes. I can make square or oval shades. They can only be made with the U.K. fittings.

The blue seagull lampshade is perfect to brighten up a room and can make a statement in your home. The lampshade is made with a blue fabric with seagulls. This lampshade suits either being used as a table lamp or as a ceiling shade. The lampshade is a great addition to a room. The lampshade can be made in several different size, shapes and colours. The lampshade pictured is 40cm diameter. Available Sizes:

15 cm diameter x 18 cm height is perfect for a very small lamp.
20 cm diameter x 18 cm height looks great on a small bedside lamp but will fit either a ceiling light or a table lamp.
25 cm diameter x 18 cm is a wonderful in between size which looks great on table lamps.
30 cm diameter x 21 cm height looks great on a tall table lamp in the living room or on the ceiling.
35 cm diameter x 24 cm height looks great on a smaller floor lamp or on the ceiling
40 cm diameter x 24 cm height is suitable for a floor lamp but also looks good on the ceiling

Fitting Information

The lampshade come with a standard fitting for all worldwide fittings. The 20cm and the 30cm shades can also be made with US harp fittings.

The lampshade has white PVC lining which is flame retardant and has passed all of the necessary tests.

This lampshade is made to order and will be dispatched within 5 days. Base not included. If you are based in the UK and you are looking for a base please get in touch.
