Are you still looking for a nice rustic bedside table? I have already designed this flamed chest for customers. I dabbed the maritime motifs/lettering on with white chalk paint using stencils. I dabbed brown paint here and there for the shabby chic look.
A real must-have for all fans of the sea. This wooden box with a lid is a multi-talent: whether as a box for treasures, for storage in the living room, bathroom or hallway. I would be happy to design a unique piece for you in this style.
With the feet, this chest is a stylish coffee table/side table with storage space. The wheels make the box mobile. The jute ropes are for decoration, not for carrying! The shell handles are elegant and rustic at the same time. The cut-out handle recesses make the chest easier to carry.

Notes on the flamed wood products:
Most of our works are unique pieces made from new/old wooden boxes or boards. Each work has a history and experiences and therefore small blemishes and peculiarities. All of this is what makes Shabby Chic so charming.
The boxes are flamed and then brushed off with a brass brush. The remaining black can be removed by wiping with a damp cloth, but sometimes it may not be completely residue-free. So if you are storing clothes, towels, etc., you should first treat it with glaze or line it with paper. The wood is flamed, but there may still be rough spots here and there. The wooden boxes may have a different number of wooden slats. Sometimes a box has one more slat, sometimes one less. The gaps between the boards are sometimes larger and sometimes smaller. The external dimensions are always the same, with small deviations of up to 1 cm. Sometimes the flamed boxes are darker, sometimes lighter. Wood is a natural product and every tree is different. Knotholes, bumps or cracks in the surface are typical characteristics and are not grounds for complaint; they show the material in its vibrancy.
With old boxes, there is often one side that is "better" than the other. Sometimes boards are torn, broken or small corners are missing. There may also be irregularities in the print and wood, but this is intentional and shabby. There may also be a rust spot on a nail. A bent nail can also happen.
So there is no defect in the product. Look at my work with different eyes and appreciate the "little flaws" as unique. They are not mass-produced products that hundreds of thousands of customers have in their rooms, but charming individual pieces made from a natural product, wood!
