Vintage from the 1940s

This knife sharpener has a butterscotch colored Bakelite handle with the characteristic odor of Bakelite when rubbed vigorously. The metal end has been thoroughly cleaned but still displays signs of use in the way of wear to the metal and rust spots. The handle has been polished.

Length is approximately 11.5", and the handle also has a cord by which to hang the sharpener.

*Please note that there is a chip on one side near the hole through which the cord is threaded. This can be seen in the fifth and sixth photos. There is also a very small chip on the very end of the handle as seen in the eighth and ninth photos. Finally, the metal ring between the knife sharpener and the handle with the Greek key design is loose and turns. Do let me know if you'd like more photographs as I'll be happy to oblige.
