These unique garments are handmade from 100% Silk and digitally printed with unique, original artwork by textile designer Alice Acreman. Designed, digitally printed and sewn in the UK, they are crafted in small batches and made with respect for the planet.
A light and floaty layer, the luxurious open front Silk jacket is made from beautifully soft Silk Crepe in cream with a violet ombre dye effect.
Adorned with watercolour painted botanical blooms from around the globe and intertwined with undersea creatures and intriguing insects, the individual, unique prints are full of life. Both exotic and romantic, with intriguing complexity, art and fashion become one in this unique piece.
Alice's inspiration for creating a statement print, showcased on a simple garment shape was inspired by the traditional Japanese Kimonos. In Japanese culture, beautifully decorative kimonos are cut from simple rectangular shape patterns and worn ceremonially and date as far back as the 1660s. This modern interpretation, a lightweight, open-fronted jacket can be styled a worn of ways both casually and formally and disregard short-lived fashion trends.

This is my second purchase from Alice, tiny little mix up with the order, but dealt with quickly and efficiently. Her skills are great, almost too beautiful to wear! However I’m very much looking forward to wearing it, I’m sure it won’t be my last purchase either!
