Don’t confuse MIL-C-5040 Type III 550 Parachute Cord with numerous copies on the market. This bracelet is made from the official product used by the US Military. It has a rated strength of 550 lbs. When MIL SPEC cord is cut, it reveals 7 strands.

550 Cord is a type of braided or “kernmantle” rope. This means that the rope is made up of an “inner core” or “kern” of twisted fibers, and a braided “outer sheath.”

Been looking for a MIL-SPEC paracord bracelet that doesn't utilize any metal or plastic as to avoid rusting or difficulty locking over time. It runs a little large, but per the photos provided by the seller, you simply find ways loop the extra length in a way that does not cause discomfort. Would recommend!
