This beautifully fluffy Sulphur-crested Cockatoo scoodie/hood is the perfect addition to any parrot lover's closet. These original and unique parrot hoods keep you nice and warm and double as a fantastic costume or cosplay. Great for festivals, cons, Halloween costumes, and just a fun hat option to wear during the cool fall/winter months. The bright colored patterns on all the parrot scoodies are designed and hand sewn by myself. Each hat is made to order and will therefore be unique but any differences in your scoodie and the one pictured will be very small (if not completely unnoticeable). These hoods are made with faux fur on the outside, fleece for the lining, and a fleece beak stuffed with polyfil. The eyes on the cockatoo are the standard black button. You can request custom alterations to my scoodies to look like your own bird, request minky beaks instead of fleece, or even make custom requests for new parrot species designs etc. Custom additions and orders may cost extra so message me first.
If you want to wear your scoodie when snowboarding or skiing, keep in mind that they are hand made so try not to beat them up too much.

All scoodies are one-size and while it will fit most adults it may be large on children (if you wish to request a slightly sized down version for your child, message me). For reference, I am modeling the hat in the pictures and I am 5' 11" with a head circumference of approximately 22"

-------------------------------Wash Instructions & Parrot Safety Note-------------------------------
Wash: Spot clean with a damp cloth or hand wash and lay out to dry. Dry cleaning is recommended for most faux furs but you can get away with a gentle hand wash. Just make sure to lay it out to dry rather than hanging it up as faux fur can get very heavy when it is wet and seams could get stretched or damaged. NEVER put your scoodie in a dryer or iron it. Heat and Faux Fur are not friends...the fur WILL melt.
Safety: These scoodies are made in a home that houses a Cockatiel. Totoro is not allowed access to the scoodies themselves but she is sometimes in the same room when I am sewing so if you have your own birds and are cautious, I recommend giving the scoodie a gentle wash (see instructions above) before allowing them contact with the hat. Also note that your bird may be afraid of the hat at first so give them time to adjust to seeing it at a distance before bringing it near them. If your bird is known to chew on fabrics, do not allow them access to the hat as they may be able to pull out some of the hairs and eat them (which would not be healthy for their crop). Also be careful around larger birds as they have strong beaks and may be able to easily rip holes in your beautiful hat.
