This is a DIGITAL PDF DOWNLOADABLE pattern and tutorial of an aviator hat inspired by Amelia Earhart.

This project is not for total beginners, good skills in sewing are needed, but this pattern can be used by everyone as a basic pattern to create your own aviator hat.

The pattern comes in 4 sizes. All seams are included.

2 - colour photos for full step by step tutorial on how to craft this hat with lining.


It comes in 4 sizes for adults.

Head circumference:

S: 21.1/4 - 22 inch | 54-56 cm
M: 22 - 22.3/4 inch | 56-58 cm
L: 22.3/4 - 23.1/2 inch | 58-60 cm
XL: 23.1/2 - 24.1/4 inch | 60-62 cm

All measurements are in cm and inches.

Required Materials:
- buckles 20mm x1
- snap buttons x4 sets
- leather, vinyl, leatherette or other materials (approx size: 60cm x 60cm {23.6" x 23.6"})
- strap for the edge trimming approx size 110cm x 4cm (43.3"x 1.58")
- lining size: 60cm x 60cm (23.6" x 23.6")

The pattern is designed to be printed easily on any home printer in A4 format.

You will be able to download the files from Etsy as soon as your payment is confirmed.

No paper pattern will be shipped. You will receive a PDF file, and will need Adobe Acrobat to open the file.
