What is the difference between a step-in harness and traditional?

The step in harness requires the dog to step in with its front legs and clips up at the top of the neck/back which is where the lead is clipped on to. This is great for head shy dogs as it does not have to go over the dog's head. The traditional harness (also know as 'roman harness') goes on over the head and then does up around the waist, the lead then clips onto this part which is around the middle of the dogs back. This is great for protecting the dogs throat area and prevents the dog from backing out of it.
