IMPORTANT REMARKS ABOUT THE OUTER PLATING
This band is a dark grayish black shade rather than jet black. The ring will transition into a rustic antique finish and eventually all of the precious sterling silver metal will come through giving the ring charming character.
We plate the ring in a thick layer but the plated surface longevity will depend on the person's wearing conditions. Frequent or major scratches and exposure to chemicals and excessive moisture will help to accelerate the wear. The black plating will scratch when it comes into contact with metal or sharp objects. Plated jewelry is a layer that coats the outer surface of the precious metal. The black plating may wear off completely within a year or within a week. Results will vary.
