This is a new and improved version of our classic backpack. We decided to go full weather-proof by water-repelling the leather and the canvas.
You will have a truly everyday bag, no matter if it rains or not.
The shoulder strap easily transforms this backpack into a messenger bag or a cross-body bag.

You will receive a backpack made of the finest British waxed canvas and of full grain Portuguese saddle leather. Let me tell you a few things about each of them.

THE WAXED CANVAS
The waxed canvas I use has a long history, starting from the mid 19th century, when it was first introduced in the sailing industry, due to it's waterproofing quality.
The UK factory I work with is more than 100 years old and their history overlaps with the waxed canvas history itself.

THE LEATHER
The leather comes from Alcanena, Portugal, an area with a rich tannery tradition. I visited the tannery myself to make sure that everything is fairly made and of the highest quality. And, indeed, the quality of the leather they produce for my bags is outstanding. I am proud to be partner with the best Alcanenian tannery.

Over time, both the waxed canvas and the full grain saddle leather will look nicer and nicer and develop a patina from being handled.

For the aesthetic I was after, this is the most beautiful bag I found in my DAYS of research. This is my second bag and I have still yet to find a bag maker that makes anything as classic and “artisanal” as this feels. Bogdan and co’s craftsmanship and customer service is truly top-notch. I get so many compliments on the bag, and love how it works with my style. I also love that it’s minimal on the inside so I can incorporate other pocket systems to suit what I’m using the bag for (example: I can have organizers in it for electronics/laptop accessories but then quickly remove those organizers when I’m using the bag for groceries or something else). The materials are beautiful and built to last, the construction of the bag is expert level. Bogdan even incorporated magnetic clasps on the outside which was a must for me. 5/5
