This handsome Spice Rack holds 18 standard spice jars. Made in the USA from Red Alder a hardwood that flourishes in the Pacific Northwest.
Construction: each part is both glued and nailed making this Spice Rack both space saving and sturdy.
Red Alder is known as "The Great Imitator" because it can easily be stained to match most other wood types. It has a smooth, tight grain which takes stain or paint nicely.
Order it unfinished, and give the rack your own personal finish and touch. Wood stain, tole paint, etc.

this is a very lovely handmade item. I got it in one day. I took many pictures of it because I was impressed both by how it was shipped carefully and efficiently and that it is beautiful. Originally I searched online and in person looking for a similar item after several months I found something at a big box store made of bamboo which I thought would be water resistant and lightweight but the one sent to me was broken and not of the same thoughtful desin as this one I realize red Alder is also more lightweight than bamboo the a smooth quality hardware on the back for hanging it will also work with 3m tape hooks the rack is so nice because I can attach it anywhere and it's spotless and it was very smooth precisly built
