A single pendant lamp made from vintage glass telegraph insulator; featuring a black ceiling canopy (with mounting bar and screws), twisted black fabric cord and UL approved hardware. Sure to enhance any living space from a cabin in the woods to a penthouse pad. Please note that this model is designed to be hard wired into any standard ceiling box.
The main difference between the No. 42's and the No. 40's insulators is the basic shape and the fact that the No. 40's tend to have more bubbles and “swirls” ( natural imperfections) in the glass. The 40's are generally older then the 42's, as well the the 42's have a more classic “bell” shape.
Please note: I am more than glad to adjust the cord length (drop) of the individual lamp- this will be based on the lowest hanging insulator. I will happily consider any custom work. Any questions please ask.
***Please use only LED E12 base (candelabra base)- Any standard incandescent bulb will get too hot in this fixture and may result in harm or worse. This is for your safety only.***
Condition: Vintage insulators may show wear. All electrical components are of new stock only and UL approved.
Telegraph Insulators were designed as electrical insulators, and nothing more; there-for each insulator may have it's own personal characteristics such as; bubbles in the glass and other irregularities from manufacturing. Please note that the insulators may have small dings, chips, color gradations and imperfections.
