INSTRUCTIONS
The awl is used for punching holes in leather while stitching, it matches pricking iron japanese style. Make sure you choose the right awl so that you can get a perfect stitching hole as your pricking iron marks.It can be used under the condition of punching pricking iron from both sides of the leather.
Keep the end of handle in your palm to force and index finger against the side of blade to control.It is flattened from both sides and so can hold the tool at the same consistent angle as your pricking or iron marks.
MAINTENANCE SKILL
1. To maintain metal parts, please keep it dry from being rusted after used. Metal parts will be rusted if it's put in wet environment for long, you can use sandpaper or rust remove paste to sand it down.
2. When the blade is blunt, you can use knife strop board or metal polishing paste to polish it. If the fore- going method dosen't work, please try grindstone or sandpaper for resharpening.
