PDF Knitting Pattern: Butt Knits™ Basic Shorties/Longies
A basic knitting pattern for shorties or longies knit in worsted weight yarn.

* Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
* Gusseted crotch for greater mobility and comfort
* Instructions for working legs one at a time or both at the same time using the magic loop method
* Two methods for short rows - no wrapping!
* Four cuff options
*All patterns include four (4) sizes (newborn through toddler).*

Gauge:
o Worsted Weight Yarn: 5 sts.= 1” on sz. US 6 needles

Needles and Notions:
o Worsted Weight Yarn: US size 4 16”
circulars, US size 6 16” circulars

o Or 40”- 47” circular needle cable for magic loop method.

o Six (6) stitch markers of at least two different colors or styles – you need to be able to tell them apart.
o Set of DPN’s (double point needles)

Size (relaxed):
Size 1: Waist 15.2”, Rise 15”
Size 2: Waist 17.6”, Rise 17”
Size 3: Waist 19.2”, Rise 18”
Size 4: Waist 20.8”, Rise 20”
