Can I expedite shipping?

Normally, orders will be packed and mailed within 2 business days of receiving payment. Shipping can be expedited - please contact me before purchase so I can determine the most expedient and cost effective shipping method.

Is my purchase insured?

All purchases are fully insured. According to insurance carrier stipulations, all items sold for $1000 or more are shipped with a signature required on delivery.

My item was lost/damaged in the mail. What do I do?

No worries - all purchases are fully insured. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged in shipment, please notify me immediately upon receipt of the parcel. All packaging material and damaged goods must be kept in the original form as received. Packaging and damaged goods must not be disposed of, released to the shipping carrier, or returned to me before a claim is completed. Failure to comply will result in claim denial. Photograph the damaged item and all packing materials for insurance documentation purposes - multiple photos are recommended. During the claims process, a signed claim statement/affidavit will also be required. Please note claims adjustors may ask to examine the parcel when the claim is filed.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes - my shop has shipped parcels to happy customers in dozens of countries located on 6 continents. If you don't see your country listed as a shipping destination, please contact me for a shipping quote to your location. Your country may impose duty/tax/VAT and/or parcel handling fees which are the responsibility of the buyer. Outbound and return shipping charges will not be refunded due to failure to pay VAT and/or parcel handling fees. Please be aware it is unlawful for me to falsify dollar amounts on customs forms or to mark your purchase as a "gift" in order to avoid duty charges; please refrain from asking me to do so. Please send your phone number when you place your order to expedite delivery.

I want to return my purchase. What do I do?

Buyers must contact me within 14 days to authorize a return and are responsible for all return shipping costs including insurance. Insurance for the full purchase price & parcel tracking is required. Retain insurance documentation/parcel tracking numbers for your records. Items must be received in original undamaged condition. New packaging is highly recommended to protect you against liability for damage in shipment. Refunds will be issued after the parcel has arrived & the contents have been examined for potential damage in shipment. Refunds will not be given for items that are lost/damaged in shipment. Shipping costs both ways for unclaimed parcels/change of heart returns/failure to pay VAT are not refundable & will be deducted.

This Native American hand-crafted dimensional sterling silver pendant and earring set depicts Koyemsi Mudhead Kachina and are artisan signed. The highly detailed pair of Koyemsi earrings have been made for pierced ears and are fitted with posts at the top. The design at the front of the posts features a spiral shape symbolizing the human journey on the road of life. The figures themselves are quite thick and dangle from jump rings located beneath the spirals. Their bodies and facial features are rounded and provide visual contrast with their linear arms, legs, and feet. The back of the figures are flat and bear the artist's mark "MC" and the word "Sterling" etched in script. The set comes complete with push-back closures. The Kachina pendant is depicted playing a drum and is equipped with a fixed bale at the top large enough to accommodate a thick chain. It is also signed "MC" and "Sterling" in script.

The pendant and earrings are in very good condition with no missing parts or repairs. As vintage pieces, the set shows minor signs of use consisting of light scratching and tarnish which do not detract from their appearance and are mentioned for accuracy. The earrings are 1.375" long, 0.625" wide and 0.25" deep. The pendant is 1.5" long and .625" at its widest point. The set has a combined weight of 16.3 grams.

This lovely Koyemsi pendant and earring set would make a great addition to a grouping of hand crafted Native American jewelry or to a wider collection of vintage silver jewelry. A striking vintage find!

A note on Koyemsi: According to published information "The Koyemsi, or Mudhead Kachina, is a clown who may be seen in most Hopi ceremonies. Mudhead Kachinas drum, dance, play games with the audience, and may act as announcers for events. They often give prizes or rewards for the races and guessing games they organize. The term "mudhead" comes from their masks which have mud applied to them."
