*This Listing is for a digital sewing PATTERN only. Not an actual doll.*

The Selah Pattern is my most versatile pattern ever! This one pattern will make two styles of doll (baby or mannequin) that is fully poseable, yet has no plastic joints. This doll can be made in a variety of sizes and even a variety of fabrics for your creativity!

This is an advanced or confident beginner pattern. Some hand sewing and machine sewing experience is ideal, however if you are patient and determined, even someone with no experience can be successful! This pattern REQUIRES a sewing machine. The final photo in this listing shows the material requirements.

This pattern is drafted to be a 14" baby doll or mannequin. However, I have included a chart and way to determine how to change the scale of the doll to increase or decrease the size. I personally have made dolls in sizes ranging from 7.5" all the way to 21+". This pattern teaches how to make a traditional head including facial embroidery, or mannequin head, how to magnetize the doll's mouth for a pacifier, how to create a wig style cap (teaches mohair style wig as in photos, no other hair tutorials are included). Doll is completed with a little belly button. This doll can be weighted with glass doll weighting. Please note: no clothing patterns are included in this listing.

All files included (pattern pieces, and 7 part tutorial with over 100 detailed photos, split into three separate downloads) are an instant download after purchase.

This was my very first attempt at a doll (although I've done a lot of other sewing before) and this pattern was so easy to follow. I went a bit rogue and skipped the knee and elbow stitches in favour of dimples or added bits (hello bellybutton!) but you can't go wrong with this. I found the head skin a bit difficult but got there in the end. And next time, there's no such thing as too much stuffing.

I am not the best seamstress, extremely novice really, and I was able to follow along and make this doll over a couple weeks during my daughter’s nap times. It’s not perfect and there are several things I would do differently if I made another one, but this was my first attempt and like I said I’m not that strong of a sewer. So if you are skilled you could easily make this in a day or two! Very clear instruction and great photos! Oh, and I did the traditional head but added the ears from the mannequin head because my daughter has very distinct ears and I wanted it to look like her. 😊

Love this pattern! Super cute and easy to follow! Thank you for creating this beautiful pattern for all to create lil babies with! My daughter loves the new baby I made her and is eager to learn how to sew one herself!

This is a lovely pattern, but the doll is a little skinny. I ended up using parts of this pattern, and using a different Waldorf doll pattern to make my doll. Everything is very well written, I just went with a different shape/construction method.
