Jax lacquer remover is a water-based solution that removes lacquer and paint from metal surfaces and contains no solvents. Sold in a 2 fl oz bottle that may be shipped without hazardous shipping charges.
Directions:
Apply by soaking entire object in solution. Rinse object with water and use a stiff brush to remove loose lacquer. Repeat action if necessary. If surface discolors, clean the object with one of Jax Metal Cleaners. Highlight with steel wool or one of Jax polishes.

I’m sure it will work well.
This worked great at first then had inconsistent results. Need more knowledge - but hard to find! I had to repeat until all paint residue was gone. A very stiff non scratchy brush is a must if it's jewelry.
