Aleister Crowley was a British occultist, writer, mountaineer, poet, and yogi. He was an influential member in several occult organizations, including the Golden Dawn, the Ordo Templi Orientis and is best known today for his occult writings, especially The Book of the Law, the central sacred text of Thelema.
He gained much notoriety during his lifetime, and was dubbed "The Wickedest Man In the World." Crowley was also a chess player, painter, astrologer, hedonist, bisexual, drug addict, and social critic.
This poster is 17 inches wide by 22 inches high, generous black ink lushly printed on parchment stock.
PLEASE NOTE: This poster image was hand-drawn original poster size by Madame Talbot using nothing more than a vintage rapidograph pen and Dr. P. H. Martin's Bombay Black India ink on Crescent 201.6 Hot Press Medium Weight illustration board.
After completion, the image was hand-delivered to Ryan Gwinner Press in Portland, Oregon and printed on an offset printing press.
Absolutely no computers were used in the creation of this poster - from start to finish.
