30cm Moon globes with accurate and highly detailed raised relief.

Created using NASA digital mapping, these globes show surface features in three dimensions.

A unique feature is the addition of crater and feature names on the globes three dimensional topographic surface. This has to be done by hand using a process specially developed for these globes.

Each globe is constructed using several layers of metal powder and resin in a process known as cold casting. A brass dividing ring separates north and south hemispheres.

Also included is a machined solid aluminium stand and a brass makers nameplate with globe number and year of manufacture. Customised nameplates are also available for Presentations, gifts or personalising the globe (see personalised etched brass plates Etsy listing).

The globe is beautiful and a great size for display. The feature labels are small enough to not make the globe look busy, but they are clearly legible. It was much lighter than I expected. Jeff was kind and very prompt to answer my questions. The package came quickly, especially considering the overseas shipping.

Absolutely gorgeous globe, I couldn't be more pleased with it! Jeff was easy to work with on a customization request, and the parcel was well packaged and arrived quickly. This is by far the best Moon globe I've ever seen. With the upcoming missions to the lunar south pole I especially appreciate that there is no spindle or axle obscuring those features.
